Let there be love shared among
us.

Let all this love sweep this
nation; Cause us oh Lord, to arise!
Give us afresh understanding of
brotherly love, that is real,
Let there be love shared among
us,
Let there be Love..
Welcome;
Today we hear the story of two
men, one of whom is rich and feasts every day on good food. The other man,
Lazarus, is poor and he longs for something to eat. This story helps us to see
how we should treat one another. Let’s think a bit more about this today..
Explain: Today is the Twenty-sixth Sunday in the
Ordinary Time.
Memory Verse:
Luke 16:31(‘If they will not
listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone
were to rise from death.’ …)
//V// In the name of the Father, and
of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
//R// Amen.
//V// May The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
And the love of God,
And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,

Penitential Rite
Dear little children, let us acknowledge our
sins,
and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred
mysteries.
Confession of our sins
I confess to the Almighty
God,
and to you, my brothers
and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned
in my thoughts and in my
words
in what I have done and In
what I have failed to do
-strike
the breast 3 times as you say-
through my fault
through my fault
through my most grievous
fault
THEREFORE I ask Blessed
Mary Ever Virgin
all the Angels and Saints
and you, my brothers and
sisters
to pray for me to the Lord
our God
Have Mercy on us oh Lord
For we have sinned against
you.
Show us, Oh Lord, your mercy
And grant us your
salvation.
You were sent to heal the contrite
of heart.
Lord have Mercy
Lord have Mercy
You came to sinners
Christ have mercy
Christ have mercy
You are seated at the right hand of
the father to intercede for us.
Lord have mercy.
Lord have mercy.
May the almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our
sins and bring us to life everlasting?
AMEN

Liturgy of the Word
First Reading, Introduce the reading.
Say: Today’s first
reading is from the Old Testament, the book of Amos.
Explain: First of all,
does anybody know what the word Distraction
means? <Spoil, being unable to understand> Let’s see if
we can understand what that might mean.
A
prepared child comes and takes the first reading or second reading.
The first reading
today is taken from the letter of Amos 6:1,4-7(GNT)
The Destruction of Israel
6 How terrible it will be for you that have such an easy
life in Zion and for you that feel safe in Samaria—you great leaders of this
great nation Israel, you to whom the people go for help!
4 How terrible it will be for you that stretch out on
your luxurious couches, feasting on veal and lamb! 5 You like to compose songs, as David did, and play them
on harps. 6 You drink wine by the bowlful and use the finest
perfumes, but you do not mourn over the ruin of Israel. 7 So you will be the first to go into exile. Your
feasts and banquets will come to an end.
“This is the word of the
Lord”
All say “Thanks be to God”.
Let
us focus on our responsorial Psalm:
< Praise the Lord oh my soul….>3x.
Introduce the Gospel
Today’s Gospel reading comes from the book of
Luke. (Luke 16:19-31) It is a teaching
story that Jesus told the people who were listening to him. Do you remember the name of the stories that
Jesus taught with? <parables> It is a story about a man who didn’t pay
attention to the people around him. He
did not take the time to listen to God’s message. Pretend that you are one of Jesus’ disciples
and hearing this story for the first time.
Think about what Jesus is saying to you.
Or,
if you can, instead of reading the gospel for children, please show this video below
to them, its illustrations are good.(copy and paste in browser)

(GNT)
Let Lord’s Word be in my mind <make a cross on
forehead>,
and on my lips <make a cross on lips>, and in my heart <make a cross on the
left side of the chest>
*OR
Glory to
You O Lord
Luke 16:19-31 (GNT)
The Rich Man and Lazarus
19 “There was
once a rich man who dressed in the most expensive clothes and lived in great
luxury every day. 20 There was
also a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who used to be brought to
the rich man's door, 21 hoping to eat
the bits of food that fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs would come
and lick his sores. 22 The poor man
died and was carried by the angels to sit beside Abraham at the feast in
heaven. The rich man died and was buried, 23 and in Hades,[a] where he was in great pain, he looked up and saw
Abraham, far away, with Lazarus at his side. 24 So he called
out, ‘Father Abraham! Take pity on me, and send Lazarus to dip his finger in
some water and cool off my tongue, because I am in great pain in this fire!’ 25 But Abraham
said, ‘Remember, my son, that in your lifetime you were given all the good
things, while Lazarus got all the bad things. But now he is enjoying himself
here, while you are in pain. 26 Besides all
that, there is a deep pit lying between us, so that those who want to cross
over from here to you cannot do so, nor can anyone cross over to us from where
you are.’ 27 The rich man
said, ‘Then I beg you, father Abraham, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28 where I have
five brothers. Let him go and warn them so that they, at least, will not come
to this place of pain.’29 Abraham said,
‘Your brothers have Moses and the prophets to warn them; your brothers should
listen to what they say.’30 The rich man
answered, ‘That is not enough, father Abraham! But if someone were to rise from
death and go to them, then they would turn from their sins.’ 31 But Abraham
said, ‘If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be
convinced even if someone were to rise from death.’”
The Gospel of
the Lord”
“Praise to you
Lord Jesus Christ”
==== 7:19 - 7:24 ====
(*)Tell an interesting story according to the Gospel and
children’s level of understanding like in the
Gospel reflection:
Say: What happened? <let the children re-tell the story> Why didn’t Abraham let Lazarus go back and tell the others about what happened? <because he said that no one would listen> What do you think? Do you think that we have enough information about how we need to act toward others? Where do we learn about showing love toward other people? The Bible, Parents, teachers and other responsible persons.
Let us stand up and
we profess our faith.
Profession
of our faith
I believe in God the Father, Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our
Lord:
--bow
down--
Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried:
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from the dead:
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father
Almighty:
From there He will come to judge the leaving and
the
dead:
I believe in the Holy Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting.
Amen.

people, so that everyone may have enough to eat.

we may be moved to share what we have with our brothers and sisters throughout
the world. We pray to the
Lord...
