Entrance Song
All things bright and beautiful..
Refrain:
All things bright and
beautiful,
all creatures great and
small,
all things wise and
wonderful,
the Lord God made them all.
1. Each little flower that
opens,
each little bird that
sings,
God made their glowing
colors,
God made their tiny wings.
[Refrain]
6. He gave us eyes to see
them,
And lips that we might
tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things
well. [Refrain]
Ask: Last week’s theme was
a < “Giving Hand”> Jesus told us that if we do what is good and right,
others will see that we believe and will praise God..
Welcome; In the
readings today, we hear how even the smallest of God’s creations are very
precious. Let’s take some time today to think about the world around us and how
we can show our thanks to God by taking care of the natural world and the
people who live in it.
//V// In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
//R// Amen.
//V// May The Grace of
our Lord Jesus Christ,
And the love of God,
And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with you all.
//R// And with Your Spirit.

Penitential Rite
Dear little children, let us acknowledge our sins,
and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
Confession of our
sins
I confess to the Almighty God,
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned
in my thoughts and in my words
in what I have done and In what I have failed to
do
-strike
the breast 3 times as you say-
through my fault
through my fault
through my most grievous fault
THEREFORE I ask Blessed Mary Ever Virgin
all the Angels and Saints
and you, my brothers and sisters
to pray for me to the Lord our God
Have Mercy on us oh
Lord
For we have sinned against you.
Show us, Oh Lord,
your mercy
And grant us your salvation.
You were sent to
heal the contrite of heart.
Lord have Mercy
Lord have Mercy
You came to sinners
Christ have mercy
Christ have mercy
You are seated at
the right hand of the father to intercede for us.
Lord have mercy.
Lord have mercy.
May the almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us
to life everlasting?
AMEN

Liturgy of
the Word
Introduce the first reading.
Today’s first reading is from the Old Testament book
of the Isaiah. In this reading, Isaiah tells the people of Jerusalem how much
God loves them...
A prepared child/children come and take the
first reading or second reading.
First Reading; Isaiah 49:14-15(GNT)
14. But the people of Jerusalem said,
“The Lord has abandoned
us!
He has forgotten us.”
15. So the Lord answers,
“Can a woman forget her
own baby
and not love the child she bore?
Even if a mother should
forget her child,
I will never forget you..
“This
is the word of the Lord”
All say “Thanks be to God”.
Ask:
What is Isaiah saying about God’s love?
<that God will always be
there, that God loves us (and that is hard to imagine!)>
Say: Let us
focus on our responsorial Psalm:
< Rest
in God alone, my soul......>3x.
Introduce the
Gospel
Say: Today’s Gospel reading comes from the book of
St. Matthew. St. Matthew uses this reading to tell us not to worry so much
because God created all things. Listen closely and try to remember ONE thing St
Matthew says about worrying.
....
Now we will stand to get ready to hear the Gospel
..with an Alleluia!! – OR
Welcome the Gospel through a song. J J
Chorus: (‘Halle, halle, halle’ (Caribbean))
Halle, halle,
halle, lu-u-jah!
Halle, halle,
halle lu-u-jah!
Halle, halle,
halle lu-u-jah!
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!!
Silently say: “Cleanse my heart and my lips, almighty God, that I
may worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel”.
The
Leader starts: The Lord be with
You,
And with your Spirit.
A reading is from the
Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew.
Glory to
You, O Lord
Matthew 6:24-34 (RSVCE)
Serving Two Masters
24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and
love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You
cannot serve God and mammon.
Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you
shall eat or what you shall drink, nor about your body, what you shall put on.
Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the
birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your
heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which
of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his span of life? 28 And why are
you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow;
they neither toil nor spin; 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory
was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the
field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not
much more clothe you, O men of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious,
saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that
you need them all. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all
these things shall be yours as well.
34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be
anxious for itself. Let the day’s own trouble be sufficient for the day..
The Gospel
of the Lord”
“Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ”
==== 7:19 - 7:24 ====
(*) Tell your prepared interesting story to motivate the children, but
according to the Gospel and children’s level of understanding like in the…
Gospel
reflection:
Ask: Can anyone remember what Jesus
said? <let the children retell what
they heard – not to worry about food and
clothing, that we are like the flowers or the birds, and God will take care of
us> What does he tell us to
do? <put God’s work first!>
You may remember from the story of Creation, that when God made
the world, it was all ‘good’. Jesus reminds us of this. God created all the
little and big things and they fit together, so that we all have a good life.
So, do not worry of what tomorrow will be.
Memory Verse: “Matthew 6:33 (“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things
shall be yours as well. …..”)
Let us stand up and we profess our
faith.
Profession of our faith
I believe in God the Father, Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son,
our Lord:
--bow
down--
Who was conceived by the power of the Holy
Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried:
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from the dead:
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father
Almighty:
From there He will come to judge the
living and the dead:
I believe in the Holy Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting. Amen.
==== 7:24 - 7:26 ====

Prayer 1. Let us pray for

God loves. Written by Pope Francis. We pray to the Lord...

Let us pray for
all civil leaders throughout the world, that they may make decisions to heal the world so that all
people get their fair share of food and water. We pray to the Lord...
Prayer 3.
Let us pray for people who are poor around the world: that
they may be supported by God’s love and the care of others so that their lives
may be improved. We pray to the Lord....
Prayer 4. Let us pray for our parish, families and
friends: that we may treat God’s world with care and heal the harm that has
been done.
We pray to the Lord...
==== 7:26 - 7:28 ====
Silently, each one tells God your petition.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
One God, for ever and ever.
