        ==== 7:00 - 7:03 ====
Entrance Song
Be Still For The Presence of the Lord…

Be still for the presence of the Lord
The holy one is here
Come bow before him now
With reverence and fear
In him no sin is found
We stand on holy ground
Be still for the presence of the Lord
The holy one is here

Welcome; Today we hear a voice from the clouds saying “This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.” How do we listen to Jesus in our lives? And how do we respond to what we hear about Jesus? Let’s think a bit more about that today.

//V// In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
//R// Amen.
//V// May The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
And the love of God,
And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with you all.
//R//  And with Your Spirit.

Penitential Rite
Dear little children, let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.

Confession of our sins
I confess to the Almighty God,
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned
in my thoughts and in my words
in what I have done and In what I have failed to do
-strike the breast 3 times as you say-
through my fault
through my fault
through my most grievous fault
THEREFORE I ask Blessed Mary Ever Virgin
all the Angels and Saints
and you, my brothers and sisters
to pray for me to the Lord our God

Have Mercy on us oh Lord
For we have sinned against you.

Show us, Oh Lord, your mercy
And grant us your salvation.

You were sent to heal the contrite of heart.
Lord have Mercy
Lord have Mercy

You came to sinners
Christ have mercy
Christ have mercy

You are seated at the right hand of the father to intercede for us.
Lord have mercy.
Lord have mercy.
May the almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us to life everlasting?
AMEN

In lent period, we shall not sing the Gloria
because it’s a time for us to reflect on the
quality of our life style.
Opening Prayer
God of mercy, you ask us to listen to your Son, Jesus. Open our ears to hear your Word and fill our hearts with your love so that we may change our lives and so change the lives of others.... Amen.

Liturgy of the Word
First Reading, Introduce the reading.
Say:   Today’s first reading is from the Old Testament book of Genesis. This reading will be familiar to many of you and its demonstrated in picture form.  It is about a special moment when God sent an angel to Abraham to stop him from killing his son Isaac. <covenant> in form of rainbow.

A prepared child/children come and take the first reading or second reading.
First Reading
Genesis 22:1-2, 9-12,
God Commands Abraham to Offer Isaac, but just before killing his son, an angel stops him..
22 Sometime later God tested Abraham; he called to him, “Abraham!” And Abraham answered, “Yes, here I am!” “Take your son,” God said, “your only son, Isaac, whom you love so much, and go to the land of Moriah. There on a mountain that I will show you, offer him as a sacrifice to me.” 9 When they came to the place which God had told him about, Abraham built an altar and arranged the wood on it. He tied up his son and placed him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then he picked up the knife to kill him. 11 But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven, “Abraham, Abraham!”

He answered, “Yes, here I am.”

12 “Don't hurt the boy or do anything to him,” he said. “Now I know that you honor and obey God, because you have not kept back your only son from him.”.

This is the word of the Lord”

All say “Thanks be to God”.

Ask: Why did God put Abraham to a test? <Discus>

Let us focus on our responsorial Psalm:

I will walk in the presence of the Lordin the land of the living....>3x.

Introduce the Gospel

Today’s Gospel reading comes from the book of Mark. In this reading, we hear about a time that Jesus went on a mountaintop with some of his friends. Something really amazing happened. Pretend that you are a friend of Jesus and were on the mountaintop.  Listen closely to hear what happened.

Now we will stand to get ready to hear the Gospel
In lent period, we shall not sing the hallelujah,
because it’s a time for us to reflect on the
quality of our life style. But another song without an hallelujah can be sang.

Silently the leader says:” Cleanse my heart and my lips, almighty God, that I may worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel.

The Leader starts: The Lord be with You,
And with your Spirit.
A reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew.
Glory to You, O Lord

Mark 9:2-10(GNT)
The Transfiguration
2 Six days later Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain, where they were alone. As they looked on, a change came over Jesus, 3 and his clothes became shining white—whiter than anyone in the world could wash them. 4 Then the three disciples saw Elijah and Moses talking with Jesus. 5 Peter spoke up and said to Jesus, “Teacher, how good it is that we are here! We will make three tents, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” 6 He and the others were so frightened that he did not know what to say. 7 Then a cloud appeared and covered them with its shadow, and a voice came from the cloud, “This is my own dear Son—listen to him!” 8 They took a quick look around but did not see anyone else; only Jesus was with them.9 As they came down the mountain, Jesus ordered them, “Don't tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has risen from death.”10 They obeyed his order, but among themselves they started discussing the matter, “What does this ‘rising from death’ mean?”The Gospel of the Lord”
“Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ”
====  7:19 - 7:24 ====
(*) Tell your prepared interesting story according to the Gospel and children’s level of understanding like in the…
Gospel reflection:

Ask: Did you hear something special?  <The Transfiguration!! and God spoke and Jesus was revealed in his glory> How do you think Jesus’ friends felt?, Do you think that they really understood what they saw and heard?<Not really>
What did D say to do? <LISTEN to Jesus> What are some ways that we can listen to Jesus?  <read the Bible, listen to Bible stories, learn about being good>

Memory Verse: “Mark 9:7 (…..  Then a cloud appeared and covered them with its shadow, and a voice came from the cloud, “This is my own dear Son—listen to him!”...”)

Let us stand up and we profess our faith.

Profession of our faith
I believe in God the Father, Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord:
         --bow down--
Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried:
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from the dead:
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty:
From there He will come to judge the living and the dead:
I believe in the Holy Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting. Amen.
