Penitential Rite
Dear little children, let us acknowledge our sins,
and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
Confession of our sins
I confess to the Almighty God,
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned
in my thoughts and in my words
in what I have done and In what I have failed to do
-strike the
breast 3 times as you say-
through my fault
through my fault
through my most grievous fault
THEREFORE I ask Blessed Mary Ever Virgin
all the Angels and Saints
and you, my brothers and sisters
to pray for me to the Lord our God
Have
Mercy on us oh Lord
For we have sinned against you
Show
us, Oh Lord, your mercy
And grant us your salvation
You were sent to heal the contrite of heart
Lord have Mercy
Lord have Mercy
You came to sinners
Christ have mercy
Christ have mercy
You are seated at the right hand of the father to
intercede for us.
Lord have mercy
Lord have mercy
May the almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our
sins and bring us to life everlasting
AMEN

Liturgy of the Word
First Reading
Proverbs is a book
that contains a lot of types of teaching. This particular poem is a poem that
teaches us about a virtue or character trait called Wisdom. Wisdom is used as a character that speaks to
us about one of the persons or our God.
Now
give to the child to start reading the first reading below.
Today’s
first reading is from the first New Testament book of Proverbs 8:22-31 (ICB)
22 “I, wisdom, was with
God when he began his work.
This was before he made anything else long
ago.
23 I was appointed in
the very beginning,
even before the world began.
24 I began before there
were oceans.
There were no springs overflowing with
water.
25 I began before the hills
were there.
The mountains had not even been put in
place.
26 God still had not
made the earth or fields.
He had not even made the first dust of the
earth.
27 I was there when God
put the skies in place, when he stretched the horizon over the oceans.
28 I was there when he
made the clouds above.I was there when he put the fountains in the oceans.
29 I was there when he
ordered the sea
not to go beyond the borders he had set for
it.
I was there when he laid
the earth’s foundation.
30 I was like a child by his side.
I was happy every day
and enjoyed being in his presence.
31 I enjoyed the whole
world.
And I was happy with all its people.
The word of the Lord, …
Thanks be to
Responsorial Psalm
O Lord, our God, how
wonderful your name in all the earth!
Introducing
the Gospel
Do
you remember who the Gospel writers were?
<Matthew, Mark, Luke and John>
In today’s reading Jesus tells us about the Blessed Trinity.
..with
Alleluia!! -
Welcoming the Gospel
Good News today, Yes
good news, good news
today, good news
today, the news of
Salavation. Alle-luia
Alle, Alle-luia, Alleluia,
A—lleluia x2
Silently say:” Cleanse my heart
and my lips, almighty God, that I may worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel to
your little children.
The Lord be with You,
AND with your Spirit
The Gospel reading is from the book of...” John 16:12-15 (ICB)
12 “I have many
more things to say to you, but they are too much for you now.13 But when the
Spirit of truth comes He will lead you into all truth. He will not speak His
own words. He will speak only what He hears and will tell you what is to come. 14 The Spirit of
truth will bring glory to me. He will take what I have to say and tell it to
you. 15 All that the
Father has is mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will take what I have to
say and tell it to you.
“The Gospel of the Lord”,
“Praise to you Lord Jesus
Christ”
(*)Tell an interesting story
according to the Gospel
and children’s level of understanding like in the Gospel reflection:
==== 7:24 - 7:27 ====
Gospel Reflection.
Say: Jesus himself said, “I have much more to say to you, but right now it would be more than you can understand.”
It’s okay not to understand everything about God. Truthfully, no one understands it all. We are all learning…. Which person of the Trinity helps us learn and understand? <the Holy Spirit>
Ask the Holy Spirit to
guide you to do the right thing in the coming week.
Profession
of our faith
I
believe in God the Father, Almighty,
Creator
of heaven and earth:
And
in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord: --bow down--
Who
was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,
born
of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered
under Pontius Pilate;
was
crucified, died and was buried:
He
descended into hell:
And
the third day He rose again from the dead: He ascended into heaven,
and
seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty:
From
there He shall come again to judge the leaving and the dead:
I
believe in the Holy Spirit:
the
holy catholic church:
the
communion of saints:
The
forgiveness of sins:
The
resurrection of the body:
And
the life everlasting.
Amen.
