Entrance Song
1.     When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word, what a glory he sheds on our way! While we do his good will, he abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2.     Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, but our toil he doth richly repay; not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, but is blest if we trust and obey.

Explain: Today is the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time, and the last Sunday in Ordinary Time.  Next Sunday is the Feast of Christ the King which is the very last Sunday of the Church Year C. After that, we begin a new liturgical year. The Church year begins with Advent, the season before Christmas.
Ask: Does anyone remember the symbol for last week?  <Faith=Heaven> < We talked about heaven, the eternal life that God has promised his people.> We talked about heaven, the eternal life that God has promised his people.

Welcome;
Today Jesus warns us that life will be difficult and the world will face wars and disasters but that we mustn't lose hope. We must trust in God who will guide us and save us.

//V// In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
//R// Amen.
//V// May The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
And the love of God,
And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with you all.
//R//  And with Your Spirit.

Penitential Rite
Dear little children, let us acknowledge our sins,
and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
Confession of our sins
I confess to the Almighty God,
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned
in my thoughts and in my words
in what I have done and In what I have failed to do
-strike the breast 3 times as you say-
through my fault
through my fault
through my most grievous fault
THEREFORE I ask Blessed Mary Ever Virgin
all the Angels and Saints
and you, my brothers and sisters
to pray for me to the Lord our God

Have Mercy on us oh Lord
For we have sinned against you.

Show us, Oh Lord, your mercy
And grant us your salvation.

You were sent to heal the contrite of heart.
Lord have Mercy
Lord have Mercy

You came to sinners
Christ have mercy
Christ have mercy

You are seated at the right hand of the father to intercede for us.
Lord have mercy.
Lord have mercy.
May the almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us to life everlasting?
AMEN

Liturgy of the Word
First Reading, Introduce the reading.
Say: Today’s first reading is from the second book of Malachi. (Mal 3:19-20)
Explain:  This reading tells about how the Lord will bring justice at the end of time. Let’s see what we can understand from the reading.…

A prepared child/children come and take\ the first reading or second reading.

The first reading is from the old book of Malachi 3:19-20 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

19 For the day is coming, blazing like an oven,
when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble, And the day that is coming will set them on fire, leaving them neither root nor branch,
    says the Lord of hosts.
20 But for you who fear my name, the sun of justice
will arise with healing in its wings;[a]
And you will go out leaping like calves from the stall

“This is the word of the Lord”
All say “Thanks be to God”.

Ask: What do you think of the story?  <discuss> ** <that God will make all things right in the end, that He will destroy all evil and that those who are trying to do His will, will be happy>**

Let us focus on our responsorial Psalm:
< The Lord comes to rule the earth with justice....….>3x.
Introduce the Gospel

Today’s Gospel reading is all about the end of the world, too.  It comes from the book of Luke.  (Lk 21:5-19). When Jesus would teach about the end of the world, people became nervous.  They wanted to know when it was going to happen. Wouldn’t you want to know too?  If you knew, you would be particularly nice to everyone so that you could be sure that you would go straight to heaven.  Jesus tells us about a lot of things that will have to happen first.  Listen closely and see if you can hear some of the things that will happen first.

Let us Welcome the Gospel
..with Alleluia!! – OR

Welcome the Gospel through a song.
Chorus:
Halle, halle, halle-lu-jah!
Halle, halle, halle-lu-jah! Halle, halle, halle-lu-jah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!!!
Silently say: ”Cleanse my heart and my lips, almighty God, that I may worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel.

The Leader starts: The Lord be with You,
And with your Spirit.

A reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke.

Glory to You, O Lord

Luke 21:5-19 (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

[a]While some people were speaking about how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings, he said,“All that you see here—the days will come when there will not be left a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down.”
The Signs of the End. Then they asked him, “Teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?” He answered, “See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and ‘The time has come.’[b] Do not follow them! When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end.” 10 Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky.
The Coming Persecution. 12 “Before all this happens,[c] however, they will seize and persecute you, they will hand you over to the synagogues and to prisons, and they will have you led before kings and governors because of my name. 13 It will lead to your giving testimony. 14 Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand, 15 for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking[d] that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute. 16 You will even be handed over by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death. 17 You will be hated by all because of my name, 18 but not a hair on your head will be destroyed. 19 By your perseverance you will secure your lives.        The Great Tribulation.[e]

The Gospel of the Lord”

“Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ”
  ====  7:19 - 7:24 ====
(*)Tell an interesting story according to the Gospel and children’s level of understanding like in the
Gospel reflection:

Ask: Did you hear Jesus said some of the things that will happen before the world will end?  <wars, earthquakes, people starving, terrible diseases, people will be hurt for believing in God Can you think of places in the world today where there are wars, earthquakes and people are hungry for food?

Say:  But Jesus says not to worry. He says to keep believing in Him and keep living the best life you can.  That’s what God asks of us.

Memory Verse:
“Luke 21:9 ( “ When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end.”.”)

Let us stand up and we profess our faith.

Profession of our faith
I believe in God the Father, Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord:
         --bow down--
Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried:
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from the dead:
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty:
From there He will come to judge the living and the dead:
I believe in the Holy Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting.
Amen.

Prayers of the Faithful
Now is the time to pray for our stuff :-)Intercessions.
You may want to ask the children to offer their own prayers or you can use the suggestions below.

Today as we learn about God’s different way of seeing the world we pray together:

Prayer 1.  We pray for the Church: that it may stand firm in God’s love, supporting and welcoming all, especially those among us who are poor. We pray to the Lord...

Prayer 2. We pray for our brothers and sisters in countries that are experiencing wars and earth quakes, who have lost homes and loved ones: that they may receive the help they need to rebuild. We pray to the Lord...

Prayer 3. We pray for our parish, family and friends: that we may support each other in all things, especially when life is difficult and we cannot see the light. May we give each other hope...  We pray to the Lord...

Prayer 4Let us pray that, our Lord Jesus Christ helps us to put our faith and trust in Him at all times. May we not be afraid but instead, believe that He will always keep us safe. We pray to the Lord...

====  7:26 - 7:28 ====

Silently, each one tells God your petition.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
One God, for ever and ever.
Amen
