Welcome; Today is the 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time.  Our symbol is a person.  We have talked the last few weeks about following Jesus. When we do that, God uses us to do His work.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the HolySpirit. Amen.
May The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
And the love of God,
And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with you all.
And with Your Spirit.

NEWS TIME :-)

Penitential Rite
Dear little children, let us acknowledge our sins,
and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
Confession of our sins
I confess to the Almighty God,
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned
in my thoughts and in my words
in what I have done and In what I have failed to do
-strike the breast 3 times as you say-
through my fault
through my fault
through my most grievous fault
THEREFORE I ask Blessed Mary Ever Virgin
all the Angels and Saints
and you, my brothers and sisters
to pray for me to the Lord our God
Have Mercy on us oh Lord
For we have sinned against you

Show us, Oh Lord, your mercy
And grant us your salvation
You were sent to heal the contrite of heart
Lord have Mercy
Lord have Mercy
You came to sinners
Christ have mercy
Christ have mercy
You are seated at the right hand of the father to intercede for us.
Lord have mercy
Lord have mercy
May the almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us to life everlasting
AMEN

Liturgy of the Word

First Reading
A prepared child comes to takes the first reading or second reading
God’s way of thinking is not usually the way we think. We don’t always understand God’s ways.
Today’s first reading is from the Old Testament book of  Leviticus 13:1-2, 44-46
Laws concerning Skin Diseases
13 The Lord gave Moses and Aaron these regulations. 2 If any of you have a sore on your skin or a boil or an inflammation which could develop into a dreaded skin disease, you shall be brought to the Aaronite priest.

44 the priest shall pronounce you unclean, because of the dreaded skin disease on your head.
45 If you have a dreaded skin disease, you must wear torn clothes, leave your hair uncombed, cover the lower part of your face, and call out, “Unclean, unclean!” 46 You remain unclean as long as you have the disease, and you must live outside the camp, away from others.
The words of the Lord.
All say “Thanks be to God”.

Let us focus on our responsorial Psalm:

< I turn to you, Lord, in times of trouble.....>3x.

Introduce the Gospel.
We talked about God using our hands. Can anyone tell me how God can use our hands?  <running errands, hugging, sign of peace>
Welcoming the Gospel
..with Alleluia!! -
Welcoming the Gospel
You are welcome Lord of Lords,
You are welcome King of Kings
You are welcome Lord of Hosts
You are welcome Prince of Peace..
You are welcome here, Alle-lluia,
Alle..lluia Might God!!!

Silently say: ”Cleanse my heart and my lips, almighty God, that I may worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel.
The Lord be with You,
AND with your Spirit
Gospel Reading: The Gospel reading is from the book of ...

 Mark 1:40-45
Jesus Heals a Man
40 A man suffering from a dreaded skin disease came to Jesus, knelt down, and begged him for help. “If you want to,” he said, “you can make me clean.” 41 Jesus was filled with pity,[b] and reached out and touched him. “I do want to,” he answered. “Be clean!” 42 At once the disease left the man, and he was clean. 43 Then Jesus spoke sternly to him and sent him away at once, 44 after saying to him, “Listen, don't tell anyone about this. But go straight to the priest and let him examine you; then in order to prove to everyone that you are cured, offer the sacrifice that Moses ordered.”45 But the man went away and began to spread the news everywhere. Indeed, he talked so much that Jesus could not go into a town publicly. Instead, he stayed out in lonely places, and people came to him from everywhere. And at the end, say “The Gospel of the Lord” and all repeat “Glory to you Lord, Jesus Christ”
(*)Tell an interesting story according to the Gospel and children’s level of understanding like in the Gospel reflection:
Gospel reflection:
A man who has a skin problem comes to Jesus and asks to be healed. Jesus
makes the man better but asks that he not tell anyone what has happened.
Instead he asks the man to visit the priest and give thanks to God for his cure.
How do you think this man felt when he realised that Jesus had healed him?
Why do you think Jesus does not want the man to tell anyone about what he has
done?
The man does not do as Jesus asks; instead he goes round telling everyone the
story. Why do you think he does this?
---
---
We try to be like Jesus today in our world. Can you tell me some ways that we
can do that?

Profession of our faith
I believe in God the Father, Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord:
--bow down--
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, dead and buried:
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from the dead:
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty:
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead:
I believe in the Holy Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting.
Amen.

Prayer of the Faithful
Now is the time to pray for our stuff :-)Intercessions You may want to ask the children to offer their own prayers or you can use the suggestions below.
We try to be like Jesus today in our world, reaching out to those who need our
help, and so we pray together:

Prayer 1 We believe in Jesus Christ who healed the sick;
We pray for people who are sick around the world: that they may be comforted and find strength in the help of others.
 Lord, hear us...

Prayer 2 We pray for all doctors, nurses and healthcare workers: that they may be inspired by the healing ministry of Jesus and treat their patients with love, compassion and care. Lord, hear us…

Prayer 3 We pray for our parish, family and friends: that we may care for one another when we are ill and work together to make sure that all people have the chance to get the medicine and care they need when they are sick.. Lord, hear us…

Closing prayer: God of love, inspire us all to follow Jesus’ example of loving care and healing, and to treat all those who are ill with care, compassion and tenderness.
Tell the Children if time allows. Please close your eyes and ask God your personal needs.... After 10 seconds, please say;
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
One God, for ever and ever.
Amen

Song Interlude: Walk Walk in the light, walk walk in the light, .........
