Chorus

I will be with you.....

Trust and obey, there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and Obey....

Ask: Does anyone remember what we talked about last Sunday? <let the children discuss> Last Sunday we celebrated  the Feast of the Holy Trinity. three natures to our God, God the Father, God the Son, And God, the Holy Spirit.

God the Father is like a parent – warm and loving but ready to correct and help us when we are wrong.

Welcome: Today we hear about a very special meal that Jesus shared with his friends, a meal that we remember every time we come to Mass. Let’s think some more about this now.

Focus

<I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of the Lord..>

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the HolySpirit. Amen.

May The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

And the love of God,

And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,

be with you all.

And with Your Spirit.

Liturgy of the Word

First Reading

Say: Today’s first reading is from the old Testament book of Exodus 24:3-8
3 Moses went and told the people all the Lord's commands and all the ordinances, and all the people answered together, “We will do everything that the Lord has said.” 4 Moses wrote down all the Lord's commands. Early the next morning he built an altar at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stones, one for each of the twelve tribes of Israel.

5 Then he sent young men, and they burned sacrifices to the Lord and sacrificed some cattle as fellowship offerings. 6 Moses took half of the blood of the animals and put it in bowls; and the other half he threw against the altar. 7 Then he took the book of the Covenant, in which the Lord's commands were written, and read it aloud to the people. They said, “We will obey the Lord and do everything that he has commanded.”

8 Then Moses took the blood in the bowls and threw it on the people. He said, “This is the blood that seals the covenant which the Lord made with you when he gave all these commands.”

. “This is the word of the Lord.” “Thanks be to God”.

..with Alleluia!! Let us welcome the Gospel-

Welcoming the Gospel

Alle-llu, Alle-llu, Alle-llu, Alle-lluia, Lets praise the Lord...

Alle-llu, Alle-llu, Alle-llu, Alle-lluia, Lets praise the Lord...
Alle..lluia, Lets praise the Lord... Alle..lluia, Lets praise the Lord... Alle..lluia, Lets praise the Lord... Alle..lluia, Lets praise the Lord...

Silently say: ”Cleanse my heart and my lips, almighty God, that I may worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel to your little children.
The Lord be with You,

AND with your Spirit

The Gospel reading is from the book of...” Mark 14:22-26

And at the end, say “The Gospel of the Lord” and all repeat “Glory and praise to you Lord, Jesus Christ

Mark 14:22-26

The Lord's Supper

22 While they were eating, Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples. “Take it,” he said, “this is my body.”

23 Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, and handed it to them; and they all drank from it. 24 Jesus said, “This is my blood which is poured out for many, my blood which seals God's covenant. 25 I tell you, I will never again drink this wine until the day I drink the new wine in the Kingdom of God.”

“ this is the Gospel of the Lord”, “Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ”

(*)Tell an interesting story according to the Gospel and children’s level of understanding like in the Gospel reflection:

==== 7:24 - 7:27 ====

Gospel Reflection.

What do you remember from today’s reading?

Did any of the words sound familiar? Which ones?

Today we hear how Jesus got ready to share the Passover meal with his friends. And then, when he was at the meal he broke the bread, blessed it and shared it with his disciples.

What happened next?

Jesus took a cup, said a blessing and shared that with his disciples too.

Every time we come to Mass we remember this – and the priest uses the very same words that Jesus did in this reading. This is a very important moment each week as the parish shares in the bread and wine, the body and blood of Christ.

Can you think of any other special meals that you have shared with friends or family?

What was it that made it so special?

Profession of our faith

I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord:

--bow down--
Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried:
He descended into hell:
And the third day He rose again from the dead:
He ascended into heaven,
and seated at the right hand of God the Fa- ther Almighty:
From there He shall come again to judge the leaving and the dead:
I believe in the Holy Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting.
Amen.

Prayers of the Faithful

Now is the time to pray for our stuff :-)

Intercessions: You may want to ask the children to offer their own prayers or you can use the sug- gestions below.

As we get ready to go back into Mass, and share in Communion, let’s think about all those in our global family who are hungry, and how we can share with them.

Prayer 1.

We pray for the Church throughout the world: that it may encourage all people to come together in peace and unity, to share and to stand up for what is right

 We pray to the Lord...

Prayer 2. We pray for world leaders: that they may do all that they can to make sure that all people have enough food to eat, and can live free from poverty. We pray to the Lord....

Prayer 3. We pray for our parish, family and friends: that we may share what we have with others and do what we can so all may have enough to eat. We pray to the Lord....

Prayer 4. Christ Jesus, you invite us to share in your table. May we also be willing to share with others, and to make a change so that all people have enough to eat. We pray to the Lord.....

Ask the children close their eyes and give in their petitions silently and conclude after 10seconds in words below

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son,who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,One God, for ever and ever. Amen
