Welcome;
Say: Today’s readings are about praising God for
the good things he does for us. Our theme
<hold up theme - musical note/s > represents praise. Singing songs to God makes him happy.
Ask: Why do you think God is happy when we sing
songs for him? <Maybe because usually
when we sing, we are happy too>
Explain: Today is the thirtieth Sunday of
Ordinary Time, Year B.

Liturgy of
the Word
First
Reading, Introduce the reading.
Say: Today’s first reading is from the
Old Testament, the book of Jeremiah. (Jer 31: 7 -9) In this reading,
the Lord tells how much he loves his people. Listen and think about
how it makes you feel to hear how the Lord feels about us!
A prepared child comes and takes the
first reading or second reading.
The first reading today is taken from the letter of Jeremiah 31:7-9 GOD’S WORD
Translation (GW)
7 This is what the Lord says:
Sing a happy song about Jacob.
Sing joyfully for the leader of the nations.
Shout, sing praise, and say,
“O Lord, rescue your people, the remaining few from Israel.”
Sing joyfully for the leader of the nations.
Shout, sing praise, and say,
“O Lord, rescue your people, the remaining few from Israel.”
8 “I will bring
them from the land of the north.
I will gather them from the farthest parts of the earth.
Blind people and lame people will return
together with pregnant women and those in labor.
A large crowd will return here.
9 They will cry as they return. They will pray as I bring them back.
I will lead them beside streams
on a level path where they will not stumble. I will be a Father to Israel,
and Ephraim will be my firstborn.
“This is the word of the Lord”
All say “Thanks be to God”.
Let us focus on our
responsorial Psalm:
< The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled
with joy..>3x.
Introduce
the Gospel
Say: Next we’ll have the
Gospel reading from the book of Mark. (Mark 10:46-52). Today’s
Gospel tells a story about a blind man named Bartimaeus. Bartimaeus
trusted Jesus so much! Jesus helped him to see again because he
placed his trust in Jesus.
Let us welcome the Gospel:
..with Alleluia!! - OR
Welcome the Gospel through a song.
Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lluia,
Lets praise the Lord,
Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lluia,
Lets praise the Lord,
Alle-luia, Lets Praise the Lord
Alle-luia, Lets Praise the Lord
Alle..lluia Lets praise the Lord!!!
Silently say: ”Cleanse my heart and my lips, almighty God, that I
may worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel.
The Lord be with You,
AND with your Spirit.
The Gospel Reading was written by Mark 10:17-27 (full reading Mark 10:17-27) International Children’s Bible (ICB)
Let
Lord’s Word be in my mind <make a cross on forehead>,
and on my lips <make a cross on lips>, and
in my heart <make
a cross on the left side of the chest> OR
Glory to You Lord Jesus Christ.
Mark 10:46-52 GOD’S WORD
Translation (GW)
Jesus
Gives Sight to Bartimaeus
46 Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus, his disciples, and many
people were leaving Jericho, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus,
was sitting by the road.47 When he heard that Jesus from Nazareth was passing
by, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy
on me!”
48 The people told him to be quiet. But he shouted even louder, “Son
of David, have mercy on me!”
49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him!” They called the blind man and
told him, “Cheer up! Get up! He’s calling you.” 50 The blind man threw off his coat, jumped up, and went to Jesus.
51 Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man said, “Teacher,
I want to see again.”
52 Jesus told him, “Go, your faith has made you well.”
At once he could see again,
and he followed Jesus on the road.
The Gospel of the Lord”
“Glory and praise to you Lord, Jesus
Christ”
==== 7:19 - 7:24 ====
(*)Tell an
interesting story according to the Gospel and children’s level of understanding
like in the
Gospel reflection:
Ask: What
do you think Bartimaeus did next? Bartimaeus was able to see again and he followed Jesus along the road.
How do you think Bartimaeus must have felt to be able to see again?
Sometimes we all try to ignore things that we see, or we
pretend that we haven’t seen them. Can you think of a time you did that?
Let us stand up and we profess our faith.
Profession of our faith
I believe in God the Father,
Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only
begotten Son, our Lord:
--bow down--
Who was conceived by the power of
the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried:
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from the
dead:
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God
the Father Almighty:
From there He will come to judge the
leaving and the
dead:
I believe in the Holy Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting.
Amen.

Prayers of the Faithful
Now is the time to pray for our
stuff :-)Intercessions.
You may want to ask the children to
offer their own prayers or you can use the suggestions below.
We remember all people that are blind and lame, we
pray together…
Prayer 1. We pray for world leaders: that their eyes may be
opened to the problems their people face and they may be inspired to use their
power to help people. We
pray to the Lord...
Prayer 2 . We
pray for all people who do not have enough food to eat: that their hunger for
change may bring about a better future for them and for all people. We pray to the Lord..
Prayer 3. We
pray for our parish, family and friends: that we may have the courage to take
action when we see something that we know is unfair or not right, so that we
may help to make the world a fairer place for all people. We pray to the Lord...
Prayer 4 And for all of us gathered here, May our good
God give us wisdom and knowledge to remember what we have studied so that we pass
our exams highly as we go to upper classes. We pray to the Lord...
==== 7:26 - 7:28
====
Silently, each one tell God your
petition.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus
Christ your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and
the Holy Spirit,
One God, for ever and ever.
Amen
