Entrance Song.

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart; I will enter His courts with praise. I will say this is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice for He has made me glad.     He has made me gladx2

I will rejoice for He has made me glad. He has made me glad, He has made me glad, I will rejoice for He has made me glad.,

Welcome: Today Jesus talks about how important it is to listen to him. And how he knows and cares about each and every one of us, no matter who we are. Let’s think some more about this today.

Focus: Memory Verse

John 10:30  The Father and I are one.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

May The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

And the love of God,

And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,

be with you all.

And with Your Spirit.

Penitential Rite

Dear little children, let us acknowledge our sins,

and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.

Confession of our sins

I confess to the Almighty God,

and to you, my brothers and sisters,

that I have greatly sinned

in my thoughts and in my words

in what I have done and In what I have failed to do

-strike the breast 3 times as you say-

through my fault

through my fault

through my most grievous fault

THEREFORE I ask Blessed Mary Ever Virgin

all the Angels and Saints

and you, my brothers and sisters

to pray for me to the Lord our God

Have Mercy on us oh Lord

For we have sinned against you

Show us, Oh Lord, your mercy

And grant us your salvation

You were sent to heal the contrite of heart

Lord have Mercy

Lord have Mercy

You came to sinners

Christ have mercy

Christ have mercy

You are seated at the right hand of the father to intercede for us.

Lord have mercy

Lord have mercy

May the almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us to life everlasting

AMEN

Liturgy of the Word

First Reading

Usually we hear a reading from the Old Testament before the Gospel reading.  During the Easter season, we will hear from the New Testament book of Acts... Does anyone remember why that would be?  <because in Acts we learn about the days of the early church – and during the Easter season, the church spends time studying how the early church was formed in the days after Jesus’ death and Resurrection>

Now give to the child to start reading the first reading below.

Today’s first reading is from the first New Testament book of Acts. (Acts 13:43-44, 47-48)

43 After the people had left the meeting, Paul and Barnabas were followed by many Jews and by many Gentiles who had been converted to Judaism. The apostles spoke to them and encouraged them to keep on living in the grace of God.44 The next Sabbath nearly everyone in the town came to hear the word of the Lord.47 For this is the commandment that the Lord has given us:‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,so that all the world may be saved.’”48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and praised the Lord's message; and those who had been chosen for eternal life became believers.

The word of tr Lord...

Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm

We are God’s people, the sheep of his flock...x3

Introducing the Gospel

For this Gospel reading, think of Jesus as the Good Shepherd.  Like the parent who loves you so much, like a shepherd loves his sheep, that’s how much Jesus loves you and wants you to follow him and do good things.

..with Alleluia!! -

Welcoming the Gospel

Halle, halle, hallee-lu-jah!
Halle, halle, hallee-lu-jah!
Halle, halle, hallee-lu-jah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Silently say: ”Cleanse my heart and my lips, almighty God, that I may worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel to your little children.

The Lord be with You,

AND with your Spirit

The Gospel reading is from the book of...” John 10:27-30

27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never die. No one can snatch them away from me.

29 What my Father has given me is greater[a] than everything, and no one can snatch them away from the Father's care. 30 The Father and I are one.”.”

 “The Gospel of the Lord”,

“Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ”

(*)Tell an interesting story according to the Gospel and children’s level of understanding like in the Gospel reflection:

====  7:24 - 7:27 ====

Gospel Reflection.

AskWhat do you think Jesus is trying to tell us?  <discuss>  So now we know that Jesus relies on our hands to do his work, that he left leaders to help us learn more about him and what do you think about today’s readings?  <he expects us to lead others to him, we need to follow him and tell others about him>

 Profession of our faith

I believe in God the Father, Almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth:

And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord:

            --bow down--

Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary:

Suffered under Pontius Pilate;

was crucified, died and was buried:

He descended into hell:

And the third day He rose again from the dead:

He ascended into heaven,

and seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty:

From there He shall come again to judge the living and the dead:

I believe in the Holy Spirit:

the holy catholic church:

the communion of saints:

The forgiveness of sins:

The resurrection of the body:

And the life everlasting.

Amen.

Prayers of the Faithful

Now is the time to pray for our stuff :-) Intercessions:  You may want to ask the children to offer their own prayers or you can use the suggestions below.

We know that we are loved by God, and we try to listen to Jesus in our lives, as we pray together:

Prayer 1Let us pray for world church leaders: Pope Francis, our arch Bishop Priests, and all the clergy, that we have known that Jesus relies on our hands to do his work, that He left leaders to help us learn more about Him, may they continue to welcome, love and care for everyone as Jesus did – like a shepherd cares for his sheep, to bring peace and happiness. We pray to the Lord...

Prayer 2. Let us pray for all civil leaders throughout the world: but most especially in Uganda, our president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, his advisors, ministers, members of parliament and all others. May the good Lord guide them all and we pray that they may see that we are all part of one family, and lead their people with love and respect. pray to the Lord....

Prayer 3. Let us pray for the sick members of our community, and for all those who are in need, Heal them dear Lord. And for the souls of the departed, Eternal rest grant unto them oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. We pray to the Lord....

Prayer 4. Let us pray for our dear Parents; Especially our MOTHERS we celebrate today, may our good Lord continue to bless them in everything they do, bless those that have lost love and may want to give up on their children, not to give up, and pray that we also, concentrate on all the good things we have been taught at church, home and School, so that we get a bright future. We pray to the Lord.....

Prayer 5. And for all of us gathered here, let us pray that we may be open to listen to Jesus in our lives, not run away when things are difficult, but may look for what we can do in Jesus’s name, so He may grant us all we ask of Him because He loves us and we shall become great in His Kingdom.

We Pray to the Lord…..

Ask the children close their eyes and give in their petitions silently and conclude after 10seconds in words below

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son,who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,One God, for ever and ever.Amen

Then..

Song Interlude: Walk Walk in the light, walk walk in the light, .........

====  7:26 - 7:30 ====Sing as we give in our offertory and we walk to the big church...NOTE-- after the song, is being sung, we pick the children that will perform next Sunday...
