Walking in the sunlight, walking in the shadow Walking everyday, walking all the way Walking in the sunlight, walking in the shadow Walking with Jesus along

 ==== 7:00 - 7:03 ====

Welcome: A door symbolizes? <a way to  enter or leave a room> Today Jesus talks  about the ways to be more like Him and enter  heaven.

Jesus tells us that we shouldn’t think too much  of ourselves. If we think we're the best and  most important person at the party, we’re likely  to end up being embarrassed. Let’s think a bit  about what Jesus was trying to say now.

Focus: Memory Verse

Luke 13:30“.. 30 Then those who are now last, will be first, and those who are now first will be last.””...”

In the name of the Father, and of the Son,  and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

May The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, And the love of God,

And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,

be with you all.

And with Your Spirit.

Liturgy of the Word(Taken the 2nd reading) In Today’s 2nd reading, is taken from Hebrews. Has anyone here ever been punished? Do you  know what that means? <discuss> St Paul tells  us that God sometimes has to punish us to help  us grow.

Hebrews 12:5a, 6-7, 11

Brothers and sisters,

5 Have you forgotten the encouraging words  which God speaks to you as his children? “My  child, pay attention when the Lord corrects  you, and do not be discouraged when he  rebukes you. 6Because the Lord corrects  everyone he loves, and punishes everyone he  accepts as a child.”7 Endure what you suffer as  being a father's punishment; your suffering  shows that God is treating you as his children.  11 When we are punished, it seems to us at the  time something to make us sad, not glad. Later,  however, those who have been disciplined by  such punishment reap the peaceful reward of a

righteous life. Was there ever a child who was  not punished by his father?

This is the word of the Lord, … Praise be to God.

Responsorial Psalm

Go out to all the world and  tell the Good News.

Introducing the Gospel

Getting into heaven is a consequence of  doing the right thing. It’s something  that all of us CAN do – but many of us  WON’T do it. We try to take the easy  way when we should think every day of  how we can do what Jesus would do.  Think of the door as the entrance to  heaven and listen to what St Luke tells  us that Jesus said.

With Alleluia!!, let’s welcome the  Gospel.!!

Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lluia,

Lets praise the Lord,

Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lluia,

Lets praise the Lord,

Alle-luia, Lets Praise the Lord

Alle-luia, Lets Praise the Lord

Alle..lluia Lets praise the Lord!!!

Silently children are singing, say:” Cleanse my heart and  my lips, almighty God, that I may worthily proclaim your  Holy Gospel to your little children.

The Lord be with You,

AND with your Spirit

The Gospel reading comes  from the book of Luke 13:22- 30..”(GNT)

The Narrow Door

22 Jesus went through towns and  villages, teaching the people and making  his way toward Jerusalem. 23 Someone  asked him, “Sir, will just a few people  be saved?”

Jesus answered them, 24 “Do your best  to go in through the narrow door;  because many people will surely try to  go in but will not be able. 25 The master  of the house will get up and close the  door; then when you stand outside and  begin to knock on the door and say,  ‘Open the door for us, sir!’ he will  answer you, ‘I don't know where you  come from!’ 26 Then you will answer,  ‘We ate and drank with you; you taught  in our town!’ 27 But he will say again, ‘I  don't know where you come from. Get  away from me, all you wicked people!’  28 How you will cry and gnash your  teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, and  Jacob, and all the prophets in the  Kingdom of God, while you are thrown  out! 29 People will come from the east  and the west, from the north and the  south, and sit down at the feast in the  Kingdom of God. 30 Then those who are  now last will be first, and those who are  now first will be last.”

“The Gospel of the Lord”,

“Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ” (*)Tell an interesting story according to the Gospel  and children’s level of understanding like in the Gospel  reflection:

==== 7:24 - 7:27 ====

Gospel Reflection

Ask: What was the parable? <have the  children retell about the narrow door  and the feast> If you were going to a  house and there were two doors, a big

wide one and a tiny narrow one, which do  you think that most people would  choose? <the large one> Why?  <because it would be the easiest to go  through>

Say: Jesus is telling us not to do what  most others do. He is telling us to think,  to pray to him and to do everything we  can to become better people, more like  him. He tells us that is the way to  heaven.

Profession of our faith

I believe in God the Father, Almighty,  Creator of heaven and earth:

And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten  Son, our Lord: --bow down--

Who was conceived by the power of the  Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary:

Suffered under Pontius Pilate;

was crucified, died and was buried:  He descended into hell:

And the third day He rose again from  the dead: He ascended into heaven,  and seated at the right hand of God the  Father Almighty:

From there He shall come again to judge  the living and the dead:

I believe in the Holy Spirit:

the holy catholic church:

the communion of saints:

The forgiveness of sins:

The resurrection of the body:

And the life everlasting.

Amen.

==== 7:24 - 7:26 ====

We know that we are important and  special to God and so we pray  together:
