Penitential Rite
Dear little children, let us
acknowledge our sins,
and so prepare ourselves to
celebrate the sacred mysteries.
Confession of our sins
I confess to the Almighty God,
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have
greatly sinned
in my thoughts
and in my words
in what I have
done and In what I have failed to do
-strike
the breast 3 times as you say-
through my fault
through my fault
through my most
grievous fault
THEREFORE I ask
Blessed Mary Ever Virgin
all the Angels
and Saints
and you, my
brothers and sisters
to pray for me to
the Lord our God
Have Mercy on us oh Lord
For we have
sinned against you.
Show us, Oh Lord, your
mercy
And grant us your
salvation.
You were sent to heal the
contrite of heart.
Lord have Mercy
Lord have Mercy
You came to sinners
Christ have mercy
Christ have mercy
You are seated at the right
hand of the father to intercede for us.
Lord have mercy.
Lord have mercy.
May the almighty
God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us to life everlasting?
AMEN

Liturgy of
the Word
First
Reading, Introduce the reading.
Today’s first reading is from the Old Testament, the book of
of the prophet Daniel 7:13-14 This
reading is about a vision of the prophet Daniel. Does anyone know what a vision
is? <like a dream> Remember,
this is a story from the Jewish Scripture so Daniel lived a very long good life
before Jesus.
A prepared child comes and takes the first
reading or second reading.
Daniel 7:13-14International
Children’s Bible (ICB)
13 “In my vision at night I looked. There in front of me was someone
who looked like a human being. He was coming with clouds in the sky. He came
near God, who has been alive forever. And he was led to God. 14 The one who looked like a human being was given the power to rule.
He was also given glory and royal power. All peoples, nations and men who spoke
every language will serve him. His rule will last forever. His kingdom will
never be destroyed.
“This is the word of the Lord”
All say “Thanks be to God”.
Let us focus on our
responsorial Psalm:
< The Lord is King; He is dressed in Majesty!.>3x.
Introduce the Gospel
Explain: In this reading, like the last one, we hear about the
end of the world. It is hard to imagine
that the world will end. Sometimes it’s
hard to imagine that there is a better world than this one. But we are told that heaven is so much
better.
NOW;
Let us welcome the Gospel:
..with Alleluia!! - OR
Welcome the Gospel through a song.
Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lluia,
Lets praise the Lord,
Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lu Alle-lluia,
Lets praise the Lord,
Alle-luia, Lets Praise the Lord
Alle-luia, Lets Praise the Lord
Alle..lluia Lets praise the Lord!!!
Silently say: ”Cleanse my heart and my lips, almighty God, that I
may worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel.
The Lord be with You,
AND with your Spirit.
The Gospel Reading was written by Mark 10:17-27 (full reading Mark 10:17-27) International Children’s Bible (ICB)
Let
Lord’s Word be in my mind <make a cross on forehead>,
and on my lips <make a cross on lips>, and
in my heart <make
a cross on the left side of the chest> OR
Glory to You Lord Jesus Christ.
John 18:33-37Good News
Translation (GNT)
My Kingdom Is Not of This
World
33 Pilate
went back into the palace and called Jesus. “Are you the king of the Jews?” he
asked him.
34 Jesus answered, “Does this question come from you or have others
told you about me?”35 Pilate replied, “Do you think I am a Jew? It was your own people
and the chief priests who handed you over to me. What have you done?”
36 Jesus said, “My kingdom does not belong to this world; if my
kingdom belonged to this world, my followers would fight to keep me from being
handed over to the Jewish authorities. No, my kingdom does not belong here!”
37 So Pilate asked him, “Are you a king, then?”Jesus answered, “You
say that I am a king. I was born and came into the world for this one purpose,
to speak about the truth. Whoever belongs to the truth listens to me.”
The Gospel of the Lord”
“Glory and praise to you Lord, Jesus
Christ”
==== 7:19 - 7:24 ====
(*)Tell an
interesting story according to the Gospel and children’s level of understanding
like in the
Gospel reflection:
Where is Jesus's kingdom?
Jesus doesn't wear a crown or have lots
of riches. He doesn't live in a palace with lots of servants. What kind of king
do you think Jesus is?
Jesus shows us that you do not have to
be rich or powerful to be important. He shows us that what is more important is
how you treat others. What we do and say is much more important than whether we
are rich or poor or where we come from.
Pilate is confused. He couldn't
understand what Jesus was saying. So he asks Jesus again if he is a king. Jesus
replies that he was born to come into the world and share the truth with all
people.
Let us stand up and we profess our faith.
Profession of our faith
I believe in God the Father,
Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only
begotten Son, our Lord:
--bow down--
Who was conceived by the power of the
Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried:
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from the
dead:
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God
the Father Almighty:
From there He will come to judge the
leaving and the
dead:
I believe in the Holy Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting.
Amen.

Prayers of the Faithful
Now is the time to pray for our
stuff :-)Intercessions.
You may want to ask the children to
offer their own prayers or you can use the suggestions below.
We
do not know when Jesus will come again and so we pray together:
Prayer 1. Let us pray for world leaders: that they
may really listen to their people and follow Jesus's example of love and help
for all who are in need. We pray to the Lord...
Prayer 2. We pray for all people around the world, especially
those who are poor: that they may have the chance to speak out about what is
important to them and be listened to. We
pray to the Lord...
Prayer 3. We
pray for our parish, families and friends: that we may listen to others and to
Jesus, and stick to the truth and do all that we can to change our lives for
the better. We pray to the Lord..
Prayer 4. Christ our King, help us to be like you, to listen to your truth and
to see that all people are important, no matter who they are or where they come
from. We pray to the Lord...
==== 7:26 - 7:28
====
Silently, in 30 Seconds, each one tell God your
petition.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus
Christ your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and
the Holy Spirit,
One God, for ever and ever.
Amen
