==== 7:00 - 7:03 ====
Welcome: Today Jesus tells us a story about how it is
important to be ready and prepared for whatever will happen. Let’s think a bit
about being prepared today.

Entrance Song
O Lord, all the world
belongs to you.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T13JYd_oi54
O Lord, all the world belongs to You
and You are always making all things new.
What is wrong, You forgive,
and the new life You give
is what’s turning the world upside down.
The world’s only loving to its friends,
but Your way of loving never ends,
loving enemies too;
and this loving with You
is what’s turning the world upside down.
Ask: What was last week’s theme? <“ The Bible...”>. The Bible is the word of God saved for us over many years
to help teach us what God wants us to know about how to live.
//V//
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
//R// Amen.
//V//
May The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
And the love
of God,
And the
fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with you
all.
//R// And
with Your Spirit.

Liturgy of the Word
Introduction of the
first reading.
Say: Today’s first reading is
from the Old Testament book of Wisdom. We know Wisdom is more than being smart,
righit? Wisdom is also the ability to
use your intelligence to make good decisions. This reading from the book of
Wisdom talks about the qualities of wisdom.
Listen to the reading and see if you can hear something special about
Wisdom..... A prepared child/children come and take the
reading.
Wisdom 6:12-16
(GNT)
The Value of
Wisdom
12 Wisdom shines bright and never grows dim; those
who love her and look for her can easily find her. 13 She is quick to make
herself known to anyone who desires her. 14 Get up early in the morning to find
her, and you will have no problem; you will find her sitting at your door. 15
To fasten your attention on Wisdom is to gain perfect understanding. If you
look for her, you will soon find peace of mind, 16 because she will be looking
for those who are worthy of her, and she will find you wherever you are. She is
kind and will be with you in your every thought.
This is the word of the Lord;
All say “Thanks be to God”.
Ask: What did you hear? <Wisdom shines
brightly, easily seen by those who look for her, hurries to meet anyone who
looks and think about her. Your worries will disappear; wisdom goes around
searching for those who deserve her>
Let us now focus on our responsorial Psalm:
< My
soul is thirsting for you, O Lord, my God......…> 3x
Introducing the
Gospel
Say: Today’s
Gospel reading comes from the book of Matthew, Jesus tells us a parable about
the kingdom of heaven. Its like this, Imagine
power goes off while eating dinner, could you find a flashlight? Did you have extra batteries for your
flashlights? The parable teaches us
about being ready. Listen to the parable
and then we’ll talk about the story..…
...with Alleluia!! –
We
sing while standing and welcome the gospel!!
Welcoming the Gospel;
You are welcome Lord of Lords,
You are welcome King of Kings
You are welcome Lord of Hosts
You are welcome Prince of Peace..
You are welcome here, Alle-lluia,
Alle..lluia Might God!!!
The leader reading the gospel, silently says: “Cleanse
our hearts and our lips almighty God, that we may worthily proclaim your Holy
Gospel”.
The
Leader starts:
-The Lord be with You,
-And with your Spirit.
A reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew.
Glory to You, O Lord
Matthew 25:1-13G (GNT)
The
Parable of the Ten Young Women
25 “At that
time the Kingdom of heaven will be like this. Once there were ten young women
who took their oil lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them
were foolish, and the other five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps
but did not take any extra oil with them, 4 while the wise ones took containers
full of oil for their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was late in coming, so they began
to nod and fall asleep.
6 “It was
already midnight when the cry rang out, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come and meet
him!’ 7 The ten young women woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 Then the foolish
ones said to the wise ones, ‘Let us have some of your oil, because our lamps
are going out.’ 9 ‘No, indeed,’ the wise ones answered, ‘there is not enough
for you and for us. Go to the store and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 So the
foolish ones went off to buy some oil; and while they were gone, the bridegroom
arrived. The five who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the
door was closed.
11 “Later
the others arrived. ‘Sir, sir! Let us in!’ they cried out. 12 ‘Certainly not! I
don't know you,’ the bridegroom answered.”
13 And Jesus
concluded, “Watch out, then, because you do not know the day or the hour.
“The Gospel
of the Lord”
All say “Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ”.
==== 7:19 - 7:24 ====
(*) Tell your prepared reflecting story to
motivate the children, but according to the Gospel and at children’s level of
understanding like in the suggestions below…
Gospel reflection:
Ask: Did you hear what happened? <let
the children retell the story>
What do you think the story means to us?
<that we must always think about God and be good>
What
are you changing in your life this week to make sure you are ready for Jesus
Christ anytime?
Come
next Sunday and share your changes.
Memory Verse:
“Matthew 25:13
“…. <“
Jesus concluded, “Watch out, then, because you do not know the day or the hour.”>....”.
x3
Let us stand up and we profess our faith.
Profession
of our faith
I believe in God the Father,
Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only
begotten Son, our Lord:
--bow
down--
Who was conceived by the power of
the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin
Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried:
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from
the dead:
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God
the Father Almighty:
From there He will come to judge
the living and the dead:
I believe in the Holy Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting.
Amen.
==== 7:24 - 7:26 ====
Prayers of the Faithful Now is the time to pray
for our stuff :-) Intercessions.
You may want to ask the children to offer their own prayers
or you can use the suggestions here.
We believe that God is
generous and fair and so we pray together:
Leader Lets pray together:
Prayer 1. We pray for the Church throughout the world: that
she may be a living example of God’s love for all people, especially those who
are in need for help to prepare for the coming of Christ Jesus... We pray to the Lord...
Prayer 2.
We
pray for all our brothers and sisters around the world: who face floods and
natural disasters: that they may be able to prepare as best as they can to
protect themselves and their land. We pray to the Lord....
Prayer 3. We pray for our parish, family and
friends: that we may do all that we can to prepare for the coming of God’s
kingdom, by following Jesus’ teaching and treating others as we would wish to
be treated. We pray to the Lord...
Prayer 4. God of all, help us to know how to treat others as
we would wish to be treated, so that we may be found ready when your kingdom
comes...
We
