Entrance Song
What so ever you do…
"Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.

When I was hungry, you gave me to eat;
When I was thirsty, you gave me to drink.
Now enter into the home of My Father.

Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.

When I was homeless, you opened your door;
When I was naked, you gave me your coat.
Now enter into the home of My Father.

Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.
//V// In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
 //R// Amen.
//V// May The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
And the love of God,
And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with you all.
//R//  And with Your Spirit.

Dear little children, let us acknowledge our sins,
and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.

to pray for me to the Lord our God…
Have Mercy on us oh Lord
For we have sinned against you.
Show us, Oh Lord, your mercy
And grant us your salvation.

You were sent to heal the contrite of heart.

Liturgy of the Word
Introduce the first reading.
The first reading today is from the Old Testament book called Wisdom.  (Wisdom 1:13-15, 2:23-24a). It tells us that God is sad when we are sad and wants to help us.  He created us to be happy and live forever just like Him.  It is the devil who brought unhappiness into the world...
A prepared child/children come and take the reading.

Wisdom 1:13-15, 2:23-24a
13 because God did not make death,
and he does not delight in the death of the living.
14 For he created all things that they might exist, and the generative forces[a] of the world are wholesome,
and there is no destructive poison in them;
and the dominion[b] of Hades is not on earth.
15 For righteousness is immortal.
 23 for God created man for incorruption,
and made him in the image of his own eternity,[a]
24 but through the devil’s envy death entered the world, and those who belong to his party experience it.

 This is the word of the Lord”

All say “Thanks be to God”.

Ask: Which person of the Trinity did you hear about?  <probably God the Father, possibly God the Holy Spirit>
Say: Let us now focus on our responsorial Psalm:
< I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me!> x3

Introducing the Gospel

Say: Now it’s time to read the Gospel.  Today’s Gospel reading comes from the New Testament book of Mark.  (Mark 5:21-24, 35-43) It tells about a man named Jairus who had a daughter who was dying.  The doctors had already given up.  Jairus was very worried and decided to ask Jesus to help.  Jairus had a lot of faith in Jesus.  He believed that Jesus could help his daughter.  When Jesus and Jairus came to the little girl, she had already died
Listen so closely and hear what happened next
...with Alleluia!! –
We sing while standing and welcome the gospel!!

Yelele yelele Halleluiah. [G]

Chorus:   Halleluiah, Halleluiah x3 Yelele yelele Halleluiah.

1.   Eyende mbele, Halleluiah x3 Yelele yelele Halleluiah.

2.   Moto, moto, Halleluiah x3 Yelele yelele Halleluiah.
The leader reading the gospel, silently says: Cleanse our hearts and our lips almighty God, that we may worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel.
The Leader starts: The Lord be with You,
And with your Spirit.
A reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark.
Glory to You, O Lord

Mark 5:21-24, 35-43 (GNT)
A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed
21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a great crowd gathered about him; and he was beside the sea. 22 Then came one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet, 23 and besought him, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay your hands on her, so that she may be made well, and live.” 24 And he went with him.

And a great crowd followed him and thronged about him. 35 While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler’s house some who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?” 36 But ignoring[a]what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.” 37 And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter and James and John the brother of James. 38 When they came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, he saw a tumult, and people weeping and wailing loudly. 39 And when he had entered, he said to them, “Why do you make a tumult and weep? The child is not dead but sleeping.” 40 And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside, and took the child’s father and mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41 Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi”; which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” 42 And immediately the girl got up and walked; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were overcome with amazement. 43 And he strictly charged them that no one should know this,[b]and told them to give her something to eat.
The Gospel of the Lord”
“Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ”
====  7:19 - 7:24 ====

(*) Tell your prepared reflecting story to motivate the children, but according to the Gospel and children’s level of understanding like in the suggestions below…

Gospel reflection:
Ask: How do you think the people felt when they found out that the little girl was alive?  <discuss>
Ask: Does anyone remember the sign that we give one another to show that there is God’s peace between us?<We use Hands>
Say: Let’s give each other the sign of peace.

Memory Verse: Mark 5:41-42
41 Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Tal′itha cu′mi”; which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” 42 And immediately the girl got up and walked;
Let us stand up and we profess our faith.

Profession of our faith
I believe in God the Father, Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord:
         --bow down--
Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried:
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from the dead:
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty:
From there He will come to judge the living and the dead:
I believe in the Holy Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting.
Amen.
