Welcome: Today Jesus has a very
important message for His disciples, and for all who believe in Him. Jesus asks
us to love one another as He loves us. Let’s think about how we can do that
today.
Focus: Memory Verse
John
13:35 – If you have love for one another, then everyone will know that you
are my disciples.”
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
May The Grace of our Lord
Jesus Christ,
And the love of God,
And the fellowship of the
Holy Spirit,
be with you all.
And with Your Spirit.

Penitential Rite
Dear little children, let
us acknowledge our sins,
and so prepare ourselves to
celebrate the sacred mysteries.
Confession of our sins
I confess to the Almighty
God,
and to you, my brothers and
sisters,
that I have greatly sinned
in my thoughts and in my
words
in what I have done and In
what I have failed to do
-strike
the breast 3 times as you say-
through my fault
through my fault
through my most grievous
fault
THEREFORE I ask Blessed
Mary Ever Virgin
all the Angels and Saints
and you, my brothers and
sisters
to pray for me to the Lord
our God
Have Mercy on us oh Lord
For we have sinned against
you
Show us, Oh Lord, your
mercy
And grant us your salvation
You were sent to heal the
contrite of heart
Lord have Mercy
Lord have Mercy
You came to sinners
Christ have mercy
Christ have mercy
You are seated at the right
hand of the father to intercede for us.
Lord have mercy
Lord have mercy
May the almighty God have
mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us to life everlasting
AMEN

Liturgy of the Word
First Reading
Today’s first reading is
from the first New Testament book of Acts. Acts 14:21-27. We are going
to hear about the two men we heard about last week. Can anyone tell
me who the two men were? (Hint, if needed) – they travelled around
telling people about Jesus. <Paul and Barnabas> We’ll
hear again about them.
Now give to the child to start reading the first reading below.
21 Paul and Barnabas
preached the Good News in Derbe and won many disciples. Then they went back to
Lystra, to Iconium, and on to Antioch in Pisidia. 22 They strengthened the
believers and encouraged them to remain true to the faith. “We must pass
through many troubles to enter the Kingdom of God,” they taught. 23 In each church
they appointed elders, and with prayers and fasting they commended them to the
Lord, in whom they had put their trust.
24 After going through the
territory of Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia. 25 There they preached the
message in Perga and then went to Attalia, 26 and from there they sailed back
to Antioch, the place where they had been commended to the care of God's grace
for the work they had now completed.
27 When they arrived in
Antioch, they gathered the people of the church together and told them about
all that God had done with them and how he had opened the way for the Gentiles
to believe.
The word of the Lord, …
Responsorial
Psalm
I will praise your
name for ever,
my king and my God.
Introducing the Gospel
In today’s gospel from
John, Jesus gives the people he is talking to a new command. Listen
closely and see if you can figure out when this story took place. A
clue would be that one of the apostle mentioned by name.
..with Alleluia!! -
Welcoming the Gospel
Good News today, Yes good news, good news today, good news today, the
news of Salavation. Alle-luia Alle, Alle-luia, Alle- luia, A—lleluia x2
Silently say: ”Cleanse my heart and my lips, almighty God, that I may worthily
proclaim your Holy Gospel to your little children.
The Lord be with You,
AND with your Spirit
The Gospel reading is from the book of...”John
13:31a33-35
The New Commandment.
31 After Judas had left, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man's glory is
revealed; now God's glory is revealed through him.
33 My children, I shall not be
with you very much longer. You will look for me; but I tell you now what I told
the Jewish authorities, ‘You cannot go where I am going.’34 And now I give you a new
commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one
another. 35 If you have love for one
another, then everyone will know that you are my disciples.”
“The Gospel of the
Lord”,
“Praise to you Lord
Jesus Christ”
(*)Tell an interesting story
according to the Gospel and
children’s level of understanding like in the Gospel reflection:
==== 7:24 - 7:27 ====
Gospel Reflection.
Ask: Did you hear the name of the
apostle? <Judas> This reading took place after
Judas left from somewhere. Where do you think it
was? Where was the last place that all the apostles, including
Judas, were together? <at the Last Supper>
Say: At this time,
Jesus gave a new command. What is the command? <an
order, something that we are supposed to do> This special command is the
most important one. Does anyone remember what it is? <to
love one another as I have loved you> To keep building Jesus’ church, we
must love each other.>
Profession of our
faith
I believe in God the
Father, Almighty,
Creator of heaven and
earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his
only begotten Son, our Lord: --bow down--
Who was conceived by the
power of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius
Pilate;
was crucified, died and was
buried:
He descended into hell:
And the third day He rose
again from the dead: He ascended into heaven,
and seated at the right
hand of God the Father Almighty:
From there He shall come
again to judge the leaving and the dead:
I believe in the Holy
Spirit:
the holy catholic church:
the communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the
body:
And the life everlasting.
Amen.
